Rigana’s journey from a modest garage startup to a multinational player is a testament to its unwavering commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction. Founded in 1982 by Richard Pedler and Ganasen Govender with just R500 capital, Rigana began by producing water finding and dipping paste. By 1984, the company had acquired its first property in Rossburgh, establishing a factory and expanding its product range to include hand cleaner. The 1990s saw further growth with the introduction of dip tapes and security seals. In 1992, Rigana moved its head office and factory to a larger facility in Pinetown to accommodate its expanding operations.
